Ladle slide gate refractory's primary role is to adjust the steel flow from ladle to tundish and minimize the risk of steel oxidation. The ladle slide gate refractory materials consist of the following:

The slide gate plate is a critical component for continuous clean steel production. The material composition of slide gate plates is generally alumina-carbon type, alumina-carbon-zirconia type, and magnesia spinel type, which can reach desired high-level performance according to the customer's design.

Characteristics: Slide gate plate has high corrosion resistance, good thermal shock resistance, low porosity, high bulk density and a smooth surface finish.

Ladle well block protects the ladle nozzle placed inside it having high wear resistance. Ladle well block is generally made with alumina carbon material or magnesia carbon material, which can be made and customized according to the requirement.

Characteristics: Ladle well block have excellent thermal shock resistance, good corrosion/erosion resistance and a stable structure to provide longer service life.
